Thought I’d break my unintended blogging hiatus (and hopefully set the tone for more blogs in 2020!) by posting this work-in-progress video of my Northern Lights illustration. I absolutely adore these books and LOVED the latest Book of Dust instalment - I might attempt an illustration for The Secret Commonwealth when I have a moment. Lyra and Pan’s relationship spoke so much truth, to me at least, about creativity and imagination and how desperate it feels when you lose that connection.
